Great venue, friendly team, nice quality food, good selection on the menu. Excellent drinks range, nice atmosphere in the bar area with an open fire. Dog friendly in all areas, and you can book table's.
the staff is friendly and helpful. eating is absolutely delicious. the only problem I have is the menu not clear what vegan is, except the burger, so I had to ask the staff about the thai curry what vegan it was turned out. it is a shame that there are no vegan puddings; but I was too full to eat one anyway!
I enjoyed the pub offered a vegetarian option “Butternut Laaf”. £12.50 abit expensive as it is the same price for a meat option.

I've met a few friends we haven't seen for ages. Receive a nice reception from the staff as soon as we went through the door. They gave us a lot of time to watch the menu. I had a brisket back with clobular chips and gravy. It was nice that the brisket had just melted in my mouth and the chips for dying. We sat for almost 3 hours. It was a great start in beautiful surroundings.
Came on 29/12/22 at 18:00 had an absolutely brilliant boiled steak. The place was packed and we were quickly served with great service. two pipping hot courses. they have come back
I have eaten here a few times over the years. Takeout or food in I never had a bad experience. The food is excellent and also great portions. Always freshly cooked and tastes ineffective.
Really impressed by the Hamilton Russell Arms. I will hold my hands up and quickly mention that I was not super impressed as the dishes looked out when they came out (especially the vegetables), but the steak and ale cake was fantastic. Proper pub food. Hearty aromas accompanied by a pinch of pedigree and I was happy. The pub itself is huge inside and looks like it can accommodate many customers. Will definitely go back! Special mention of fish and chips also, as this also tasted fantastic.
